Nashik Municipal Corporation’s elections are only 6 months away and its rehearsal has started. After division of wards in Nashik Municipal Territory, Government officials have started taking steps for successful completion of Election Schedule.
Officials are trying to experiment with some new techniques of voting. This all has been done for increasing the voting percentage which has been considerably low in last few years.
This year, Election Council has decided to try E-Voting. We can say that Nashik is becoming more Internet savvy as SETU office, Nashik District Supply Office were put on net two months back. And these services have received a huge response.
Coming back to election issue, as rehearsal of E-Voting technique, any two randomly selected wards could go for a demo election which will held in few weeks.
