The Marathi Literature Festival will take place from 3 to 5 November 2017 in Nasik with the theme “Confluence of independent thinkers” with 26 sessions, 5 workshops, and 70 authors.

The literary festival aims to give thinkers a platform for people who have dared to think beyond the ordinary and express themselves independently. It produces diversity since the festival will have a dynamic combination of sessions in English, Hindi and Marathi, which makes the experience truly enriching for all.
The three-day festival will take place at Kusumagraj Smarak. A very venerated place, it is named after Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, popularly known by his pseudonym Kusumagraj. Recipient of Padma Bhushan and Jnanpith, he is known for his works such as Vishakha (1942), Natsamrat, considered masterpieces of Marathi literature.
