An age-old place retaining its charm on the hustling street of college road is what “The Pavilion” is. This place has been on college road for a while but it’s still unknown and hidden even after two decades of existence. Pavilion serves you Indian Chinese and that’s it. No fancy menu, no waiters, total one-man show! the same person who takes your order cooks it and serves you, and he is operating this entire operation on his own from last 22 years.

The food here is pretty straightforward. You have 3 courses divided into soup, gravies, noodles/rice. All the dishes are indo chinese. If you’re clueless about what to order do ask for recommendations for ease. One interesting part of the menu is they’re missing spring roles and most of the chicken preparations which uses bones (yes, you guessed it right! Lolipop. ;P). Despite no staff, you will be served promptly with warmth.

Crispy Chicken, Singapore Noodles, Chili Garlic Noodles, Pavilion Special Rice, Clear Soup are our favorite from the menu but feel free to explore the menu on your own. If you’ve eaten Indian Chinese way back in time! This is the place where you’re going to find that classic taste again.

One issue is this place has only 3 tables and seating capacity is not more than 15 at a single time so make sure to visit early to avoid wait time, Although this place seems age-old and they never worked on renovations or any changes as such so it actually gives you a feel of dining in past. The price for 2 is 600-700₹ whereas most of the dishes cost between 150-200 Rs.
