Shivaji raje Shahajiraje Bhosle is the name that is well known to each and every person of India. Shivaji Maharaj was the first Hindu king who established his kingdom when whole Indian subcontinent
was ruled by Mughal Emperors.

Shiv Jayanti is the birth anniversary of the King Shivaji by Hindu Calendar. Shivaji Maharaj was born on 19th February 1630. According to Hindu Calendar (Panchang) it was FALGUN KRUSHNA CHATURTHI. So, every year, Birth Anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj is celebrated twice.

Everybody knows what efforts did Maharaj took to resist Mughal Emperors from ruining the holy land of Maharashtra. Mughal Emperors tried their best to demolish Maharashtra bot they were never successful because Shivaji Maharaj had built a force that belonged this soil only. They were loyal to Maharaj and only Mahaaj.

Even today also, the biography and many books written about Shivaji Mahraj gives us inspirations. Shivaji Maharaj has become role model to every youth of this country. Birth Anniversary of this great man is the day which reminds us that if we really want to do some thing then no one can stop us from achieving it.

Mahraj himself at the tender edge of 14 pledged to make Holy land of Mahrashtra free from rule of Mughal Emperors. He never bent before anybody except his elders and whom he really respected. This behavior of his, gives us immense motivation to respect our elders at the same time never quit attitude.

In 17th century, when there were no proper roads or any kind of facilities, he built up a force from the people and when he was 16, he won Torana Fort. We can imagine how difficult it was. But we should figure out that if he can do it in 16, then why we can’t.

Think over it! And while celebrating this day, you must remember that we are not doing this just for enjoyment.
While celebrating day like this, we should always know what Maharaj did for us!

Now, How this auspicious day is celebrated in nashik?
Nashik has uniqueness about celebrating every festival. This is also not an exception for it. In nashik, many NGOs, private organizations, schools, colleges organize rallies and competitions which enhances the joy and also motivates the crowd!
