The 10th Edition Of The Music Festival Wraps Up On A High!
As a decade of popular annual gourmet world music festival – SulaFest wraps up, the excitement and high of the festival still lingers in the air. The 10th edition of the ever-growing music festival that draws in wine and food lovers from across the globe, was a sell-out event, flooded with fest-goers attending the fest over three days. Bringing to fore a variety of music, gourmet food, wines, a selection of beer and liquor labels and fashion while giving fest-goers an opportunity to camp at the Tent City amidst the beautiful Sula Vineyards, the 2017 edition of SulaFest was yet another memorable event for wine connoisseurs with a penchant for music.
Marking the celebrations, this SulaFest was bigger and better than ever with not two but three days of unlimited music, wine and fun at Sula Vineyards. From popular Indian artists such as Nucleya, Indian Ocean and The Raghu Dixit Project setting the stage on fire on the first day to acclaimed global artists such as Bloc Party with its India debut at SulaFest 2017, Infected Mushroom, SwinGrowers, Loco & Jam and Dana Ruh wowing the crowds with their music, this year’s artist line-up made the 10th edition of the festival a true “World Music Festival”!
With three stages – Amphitheatre, Atmasphere and the brand new Tropical – and more than 120 artists performing across the three days, music lovers enjoyed everything from Indie Rock to Electronica to Reggae to Afro and much more. Nucleya’s performance ended Day 1 with the crowds grooving to his tune even as bursts of confetti showered the air in a surge of color. Day 2 has audiences swinging to Bloc Party’s electronica infused rock hits such as “She’s Hearing Voices” and the final day ended with twice ranked “10 Best DJ’s”, Infected Mushroom driving the crowds wild with their beats!

Adding to this heady mix was a selection of the world’s finest wines and liquors that were on array at the festival along with a variety of gourmet cuisine. Fest-goers could enjoy a wide selection of drinks including beer, vodka, whiskey, tequila, cognac and liqueur from around the world by Sula’s import arm Sula Selections and others as they reveled in the magic of music rafting through the vineyards.

All wines from Sula – Red, White and Rose flavours were available at SulaFest. In addition, wines from around the world from the Sula Selections portfolio including Hardys from Australia, Trapiche from Argentina, Mud House from New Zealand, Kumala from South Africa, Ruffino from Italy, Cono Sur from Chile, Le Grand Noir from France, Bouchard Aîné & Fils from Burgundy in France, Piper-Heidsieck from France were available. There were more than 40 wines on offer at the fest.
Adding a ‘healthy’ element to this year, fest-goers could participate in SulaFest’s sunrise yoga sessions on the open grounds at the Tent City in collaboration with The Yoga House – and even partake in a morning SulaFest run to get their energy levels back on track! RAW Pressery, a co-sponsor of SulaFest 2017, ensured that their cold pressed juices and drinks kept people energized throughout the festival weekend, especially with the new flavour launched at the festival. For those looking to do a spot of shopping, there were stalls selling a host of cool merchandize from brands such as Kamaltara, Get Set Party, Chronicle designs, Rang Potli at the SulaFest Bazaar.
While fun was definitely on the agenda at SulaFest 2017, it was not without a touch of responsibility. From eco-friendly décor to designated waste management initiatives to four local NGOs being allocated complimentary stalls to raise awareness about their cause and raise funds – SulaFest was the perfect platform to initiate and drive change.
Celebrities such as Arjun Khanna, Kim Sharma, Kabir Bedi, Vineet Jain, Sapna Bhavnani, Aparna Badlani, Narendra Kumar, Prahlad Kakkar, Ranvir Shorey, Kelvin and Andrea Cheung amongst others were seen soaking up and the sun as they enjoyed the array of global music ringing through the vineyards.
