Verdict: A place with potential, a cocktail menu worth exploring, and live music that sets the right mood—but marred by a service staff that seemingly graduated from the School of Arrogance. Approach with patience, a sense of humor, and perhaps a pre-dinner snack.

Nashik doesn’t exactly abound in good live music venues, which makes My Oh My one of the rare establishments where you can enjoy a curated dining experience alongside some actual entertainment. They have a resident DJ keeping the mood lively, but the real highlight is their dedicated performance gallery, offering an impressive selection of live acts. The ambiance is a thoughtfully executed balance of chic and welcoming, a setting designed for indulgence—provided you don’t mind working for it.

The cocktail menu is well-conceived, delivering a fine balance of flavors without trying too hard. Not every drink will change your life, but you’re unlikely to be disappointed. And given the occasionally glacial pace of service, a drink or two might be just the thing to distract yourself while waiting for your meal to make its way out of the kitchen.
Speaking of the food, My Oh My boasts an ambitious menu covering modern Indian, Asian, and continental offerings, and—to its credit—it mostly succeeds. The Feta Cheese & Watermelon Salad was an exquisite start, crisp and refreshing, the kind of thing you’d expect to be served on a breezy summer afternoon. Sushi was a surprisingly competent affair—fresh, neatly rolled, and presented with care, proving that even in a city not known for seafood, one can still get a decent maki roll. Nasi Goreng delivered beautifully, with aromatic rice, well-seasoned proteins, and just the right touch of heat. The biryani was fragrant and flavorful, ticking the right boxes.

However, not all dishes lived up to expectation. The Chicken Crispy? A misstep. Greasier than a politician’s handshake and lacking the crunch or spice that gives the dish its namesake appeal. Some other small plates across visits wavered between “passable” and “why did I order this?”, leaving the impression that kitchen consistency is something of a gamble.
And now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room: the service. To put it bluntly, getting a table here can sometimes feel like negotiating a diplomatic treaty—with a particularly difficult envoy. The staff operates with an air of unwarranted self-importance, often making one wonder if the privilege of dining here is something we should have applied for months in advance. Requests are met with visible disinterest, If you need something mid-meal, be prepared to wait longer than you’d expect or repeat your request a couple of times—not because they’re too busy, but because attentiveness doesn’t seem to be a priority.
This review isn’t based on a one-time visit—it’s the result of multiple experiences, each confirming the same pattern. While I’d love to say that a great cocktail and a solid playlist can make up for a staff that behaves like they’re doing you a favor, there’s only so much one can overlook. If My Oh My were a person, it would be that one friend who hosts incredible house parties but makes sure you know how lucky you are to be invited.
And yet, despite all this, one keeps returning. Why? Because the food (mostly) delivers, the drinks are worth a repeat order, and the music is genuinely enjoyable. There’s a reason people put up with the pretentious service—it’s because when the stars align, the evening can actually be quite spectacular.
So, should you visit? Yes—just steel yourself for the occasional attitude and possibly extended wait times. My Oh My is a restaurant with potential, a well-designed space with a culinary lineup that’s capable of brilliance when it’s in the mood. One only wishes it would shed its airs and embrace the idea that hospitality is more than just a word on a mission statement.
Until then, go for the cocktails, the music, and the dishes they get right—and if you make it through the service unscathed, consider it a small victory.
